In January of 2008, we found out that we were going to have another baby. We were very excited. Jacob and Ian decided they wanted another boy so that mama would be "boy trapped". Well, they must have known because in May we found out it was another boy. (There is actually some relief knowing I don't have to do hair bows and dresses.) The due date was Oct. 3 but possbily earlier because our other 2 babies were big! The school year started and it was Labor Day weekend. We decided to go camping with some friends at Palo Duro Canyon. Our last trip before the baby arrived. Here are Toby and Jacob on a hike.
We got back home Sunday night. The next day was Labor Day. That day now has a new meaning to us. I woke up that morning and my water had broken. This was a new experience for us. Plus, we had nothing ready because it was a month early. We called our doctor and went to the hospital. Later that day, Wyatt Charles Schaef was born at 2:29pm. He weighed 6.11 lbs and was 19" long and one month early. He had to be placed in NICU for 5 days because his lungs weren't quite ready.
He is doing great now! At 3 months old, he weighs 13 lbs. He is smiling and even rolled over the other day. I have started back to work :( but he has a great babysitter that is close by.
