The Karate Kid

We have tried soccer and t-ball and they didn't seem to be a good fit for Jacob. We wanted him in some kind of activity. Toby checked out karate. We had a trial run and Jacob loved it. He started out in a 5-6 yr old class as a white belt. He did great! You have to earn 3 stripes before you are allowed to "belt test" which is basically just showing your parents and others that you have mastered the level before moving up. Here is Jacob with his teacher at his first belt test. (His teacher had just told him that he thinks Jacob has improved enough to move up to the adult class which has all ages.) He has since moved up 2 more levels and is now a "high yellow" belt.
